A daily dietary habit that reduces the risk of tinnitus

A scientific study has found that the type of food an individual eats affects their chances of developing tinnitus.

According to the study published in the scientific journal ” The American Journal of Epidemiology , ” which specializes in epidemiology , a research team studied the health status of more than 113,000 women, while monitoring the nature of the diets consumed by the research participants over a period of 4 years.

During the study period, approximately 23,000 participants were found to have chronic tinnitus .

The researchers found that adhering to specific dietary patterns does not necessarily help in treating the tinnitus problem , but there are certain foods that help in treating this problem.

The researchers found that eating more fruit reduces the likelihood of developing tinnitus by 19 percent, while eating more whole grains and sugar-sweetened beverages is associated with an increased likelihood of this problem ranging from 12 percent to 26 percent.

The researchers confirmed, in statements to the medical research website “HealthDay,” that these results may help provide scientific information to develop preventive strategies to reduce the likelihood of developing tinnitus.

It is worth noting that approximately 50 million adults in the United States alone suffer from tinnitus, a health problem that is difficult to treat and may affect the hearing efficiency of those affected.
