Health Minister: Unified protocol for treating heart attacks to be launched next week
Health Minister Ibrahim Al-Badour said that the ministry will launch next week a unified protocol for treating heart attacks, which aims to link all government hospitals with cardiology specialists, in order to ensure rapid medical intervention and follow-up for patients.
Al-Badour explained in a statement to “Al-Mamlaka” on Saturday evening that the ministry is also working on unifying the medical protocols for treating cancer, which will allow cancer patients to receive treatments in various governorates of the Kingdom, without being restricted to the location where the service is provided, and will reduce the burdens on patients and their families.
He pointed out that the Ministry of Health has made significant progress in unifying most of the medical protocols in various specialties within government hospitals, as part of a plan aimed at improving the quality of health services, standardizing treatment procedures, and linking them to the virtual hospital.
